Indulge in one of China’s most revered black teas—Jin Jun Mei from Tongmu Village, Wuyishan, the birthplace of traditional Lapsang Souchong. This exquisite small-leaf black tea is crafted exclusively from the tender spring buds of ancient tea bushes, some over a century old. Grown in the misty highlands of Fujian, its cultivation and processing preserve a legacy dating back to the Qing Dynasty.
Each golden-black strand of dry tea reveals the careful selection and mastery behind its creation. The dry leaves are wiry, slender, and laced with golden tips—fine hairs that signal quality and freshness. Upon infusion, the liquor glows with a golden amber brilliance, exuding a gentle halo that hints at its inner richness.
Jin Jun Mei greets the palate with a silky, full-bodied taste, unfolding layers of sweet grass, wildflowers, and a signature “high mountain charm” (gaoshan yun). The flavor is both vibrant and mellow, leaving a lingering aftertaste that resonates with a sweet, cooling sensation deep in the throat—a hallmark of premium Chinese black tea. Remarkably, even after ten infusions, its flavor remains full and satisfying.
Unlike smoked Lapsang Souchong, this tea follows the orthodox Wuyi black tea process with natural withering and slow oxidation, ensuring its floral and honeyed character is preserved without any smoky overtones.
Ideal for moments of reflection or as a daily ritual, this tea brings a gentle energy and grounding clarity—perfect for those seeking an authentic, nourishing tea experience.
